Paradoxes of Alcohol Consumption in the North as Reflection of Social Contradictions
Professor Andrey Soloviev is the Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology, Northern State Medical University (Arkhangelsk, Russia). He is one of the authors of new scientific directions: Environmental Toxicology, Addiction Preventology, and the creator of scientific and practical school the core of which is the multidisciplinary and transcultural approach to solve pressing challenges of mental health and addiction in the European North, including the development of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation of patients and evaluation of their quality of life.
Andrey Soloviev has supervised more than 60 theses, took part in preparing more than 350 scientific articles, 30 inventions, and 130 rationalization proposals. He serves as the representative of Russia in the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors, board member of the European Psychological Doctoral Network, international master's programs in Circumpolar Health and Wellbeing as well as Comparative Social Work.
